The City of Kamloops has a by-law regarding "Wild or Exotic Animals" This by-law can be read at the City of Kamloops website or for more information call By-Laws at (250) 828-3407 during business hours.

Currently there is no mandate to ensure pet stores within the City of Kamloops which sells such "wild or exotic animals" (ie lizards, snakes etc) to inform customers purchasing such animals of the by-law.
