Over the years with the arrival of major "big box" stores most other major retailers followed by relocating to Sahali, thus leaving great opportunities for new business to fill the large voids of department stores in other areas of the city, but on the other hand forcing residents to make trips "up the hill" for most essentials, however once up here you'll find a wide selection to choose from!
For your groceries you'll have Safeway, Save-On-Foods, The Real Canadian Superstore and Walmart providing a more limited selection of food. If you need a major department store pick from Walmart or Zellers, the Real Canadian Superstore also provides a large selection of goods from Clothing and Electronics to Household and a Pharmacy.
There are also two malls, Sahali Centre Mall an indoor mall with Safeway and Zellers as it's two major tenants and Columbia Place Mall a large outdoor strip mall complex with several major chains including Blockbuster Video, Office Depot, Save-On-Foods and Toys R Us to name a few.
For Tourists driving into Kamloops from the west via the main exit onto Columbia Street you'll enter Sahali with Accent Inns being the first on your right, past the various strip malls and shopping centers as you start to head downhill on Columbia Street before going into Downtown Kamloops you'll find a wide variety of Accommodations including Motels and Hotels. |
